Sick =[ (Day 337)

I was sick in the worst way today. I woke up with a full-blown migraine, headache, nausea, neck pain, everything. I also had a stuffy, runny nose and sore sinuses. So I took some Tylenol extra strength cold medication, and that made me so dizzy and loopy, I had to lay down for several hours. Everything was kinda funny though xD No matter what someone said, it made me giggle. It makes me think I'll be a fun drunk, HAHA.

So, clearly, no cosplay progress today. We'll see about tomorrow.

Day 232

I really would like to start coming up with actual titles for my posts again. I'm getting bored of these numbers.

Anyway, I have yet to work on things! I would have, but I had to go to my boyfriend's house to register for next term's classes (as my home internet is not secure), and I stayed there for dinner and general hanging out.

But since my boyfriend has to do major studying for the next couple of days, I can do some major cosplaying for the next couple of days! Hurrah! Although I really should write that paper for class.

I'll be putting on a performance with my class (Theater Improv) this Sunday, and I'm both excited and nervous about it. I just really, really hope that I don't get stuck with a bad partner for any of the games. I'm not horrible at improv, but I'm not the greatest either, and I know a few people that if I had to perform with them, I'd fail. I hate having to carry the whole performance on my back, especially when I have to set up the jokes and the person I'm working with doesn't pick up on them... Ugh. Rambling. ANYWAY!

Plan for tomorrow! Work on my paper. Paint more of the Pac-Man pants. Complete outside of Hideki jacket. At least start lining of Hideki jacket. Good thing I can work on the jacket while the pants are drying, or this would all take up a ridiculous amount of time...

(And for anyone who cares about my sickness mentioned in yesterday's post, it's much better already thanks to a home remedy, but the first in-office doctor's appointments that I could make aren't until June, so I have a phone appointment for Wednesday =])

BLARG! (caps lock is my best friend today, I apologize.) I'm freaking out on multiple levels. I'm still pissed about Super-Con for one thing. I was really looking forward to it. Also, my boyfriend's costumes for Fanime aren't finished. They're so close though that if I don't finish them, I'll never forgive myself. Also, some pretty serious health issues started up today, and they're just as annoying and inconvenient as they are painful. I just really, really hope their solved by Fanime, because it would suck if they weren't.

Anyway, as you can imagine, I haven't worked on cosplay today. I will try tomorrow.

Days 137, 138, & 139

I've been really sick, so I've been going to sleep early instead of updating my blog, haha. It's not like I've been doing anything really. In fact, I've been so sick, I haven't been cleaning my naval piercing, and it's looking nasty >_< My ears and face are all stuffed up, and I can't breathe through my nose. And it's my boyfriend's birthday xP His party was today, and I'll be going to dinner with his family tomorrow.

I want to work on cosplay though! I've gotten my cosplay list figured out for pretty much the rest of the year, unless another con pops up. I'll make another post for it though, so I can link to it and include my previous cosplays for this year too.

Day 136

So being sick is no fun. Yeah. That's about it. I really wanted to get started on my and my boyfriend's Pac-Man costumes, but then I realized that in order to get the proportions right, we'll have to make them, or at least take the measurements, at the same time. So maybe some time this week.

These costumes could take anywhere from a week two three months, depending on how much money we have available and what style we're doing all of this in. The super easy way out would be cardboard, paint, and black clothes. Which, believe me, is tempting beyond belief. The harder but still ridiculously easy way is covering the cardboard with fleece, and then having black clothes. We really, really want to go with fleece. Just because we can, and it should looked cleaner and smoother than paint over cardboard. The hardest would be fleece over cardboard with black clothes that have the Pac-Man game grid on them. You know, the blue walls that you have to maneuver around in the game. I'm still working on ways to do that to shirts and pants and stuff, but I think that that detail would really help put our costumes over-the-top and make them stand out.

An option that we're not really considering is full-body cardboard suits, mainly because that is a lot of cardboard and a lot of work. Not to mention, it wont' be comfortable or practical at all, and I doubt we'd even be able to transport them to conventions.

Happy Thanksgiving all. I went to my grandma's and then to my boyfriend's. I got sick in the middle of all this, but I recovered. =D

Still sick. Yet still productive. Just not in a cosplay-related way. =[

My boyfriend and I painted two walls of my room. Five to go. Plus the doors and frames. Yes, I have more than four walls and more than one door. Yet I still don't have enough room for all my cra-- err.. Loverly objects of love. =]

Anyway, turns out last time I used the iron *coughtwodaysagocough* I forgot to turn it off. Mom was pissed, not that I blame her. It's dangerous, not to mention expensive.

So, I'm half-asleep and nauseous, so no real blogging today. Goodnight.

Day Twenty-Eight

SIIIIICK! I'm so sick =[ It's no fun. My boyfriend's sick too, with something else though. So we couldn't make it to our convention planning meeting. Which sucks, but I went to the meeting via Skype. It was.. interesting, haha. It was easier to share files that way, but I had already printed them out last night.

I won't be going to the next meeting though, as I'll be at Yaoi Con!!! Yayyy! I didn't finish my jacket. Or my belt buckle, and my friend didn't make my gun like he promised! Neh. But I'll live. My Matt is amazing, even if he's not finished either, and I'm sure we'll have a great time anyway.

I'll be heading out to Yaoi Con a little late though, as I'll be entering a costume contest at my chiropractor's office that morning in a different costume. The prize is $50. o.o Convention money... That's enough to pay for Yaoi Con and then some! So that's why I'm doing it. I need money.
