Final Fantastic Four Teaser Reveals Fate of Future Foundation

Final Fantastic Four Teaser Reveals Fate of Future Foundation: "
All this week we've been seeing teasers for the return of the Fantastic Four. Speculation has gone on over what it means for that team, the Future Foundation and whether or not the Human Torch will return. Yesterday's teaser did confirm that Fantastic Four #600 would come out. This is what many assumed would happen after the Future Foundation series hit issue #11. Add those to the 588 issues of Fantastic Four and you get a total of 600.
Today's teaser shows us what this means for the Future Foundation.

'It's not over.'
In November along with Fantastic Four #600, we will also see FF #12. Looks like the 'team' will carry on without Reed, Sue, Ben or Peter. At lease Hickman will still be there guiding them along. Can the team still operate without the grown ups?

Latest Fantastic Four Teaser Shows...Five Members?

Latest Fantastic Four Teaser Shows...Five Members?: "
We've been getting a different Fantastic Four teaser each day. The first was just the logo, bringing speculation over the return of the team in November. The second showed the current team (along with Spider-Man) in their Future Foundation outfits. Then we had a Joe Quesada piece with the original team, including the Human Torch, who we know is currently dead.
Today Marvel has released a fourth teaser...

What does this mean? Now we know for sure that Fantastic Four #600 is indeed coming out. But what about Johnny? How does Spider-Man fit in? Can the team still be the Fantastic FOUR if they have five characters? Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see what the final teaser shows us.

Marvel Reveals Second Teaser for Possible Fantastic Four Return

Marvel Reveals Second Teaser for Possible Fantastic Four Return: "
Yesterday we saw the mysterious teaser image simply labeled FOUR with the Fantastic Four's logo set for a November release. Most assumed it meant either the return of the Human Torch. It feels too early for Johnny to make his return. Also the Future Foundation hasn't really had a chance to do much. Based on why they were created, there is so much more they have to do before just calling it quits and returning to being just the Fantastic Four.
Here's the latest teaser courtesy of Marvel.

What does this mean? We do see FOUR characters but they are clearly still in their Future Foundation costumes. It wouldn't be surprising if another group for four heroes (or even villains) took on the role as the Fantastic Four while the current Future Foundation members try to save the world.
Either way, as much as I'd like to see the return of the Human Torch, I would rather it not happen this soon. What are your thoughts over all this now that we've seen this second teaser?

Chris Evans Talks ‘Captain America,’ Hugo Weaving & Fantastic Four

Chris Evans Talks ‘Captain America,’ Hugo Weaving & Fantastic Four: "
Captain America The First Avenger Chris Evans Interview

It’s only June 3rd and we’ve already seen half of the superhero blockbusters summer 2011 has to offer – Thor and X-Men: First Class. So far, they’ve been pretty well-received, but we’ve still got Green Lantern to contend with in two weeks and Captain America: The First Avenger next month.
Speaking of Captain America, star Chris Evans recently sat down to talk about a number of things to do with the film, including the difference between playing Cap and the Human Torch in Fantastic Four, Hugo Weaving’s role as Red Skull, and the importance of pleasing the fans.
On what he thought upon seeing himself in the Captain America uniform, courtesy of The Triangle:
“What have I ...

I’ll be forever grateful to Marvel for putting their Marvel Masterworks series in softcover. I’ve read a few Essentials – their 500-page black & white on newsprint paper omnibuses – but I’d prefer to see these classic stories in color on a slightly better paper. The hardcover Masterworks, I told myself often, “I’ll get around to them.” But I kept not getting around.

And to give you an idea how far behind my reading pile has gotten, I sat down last week and read four consecutive volumes of classic Stan Lee-Jack Kirby Fantastic Four comics. And they’re a blast.

I can’t truthfully say that they age well. It’s not only the dated pop culture and world event references, but it’s hard to imagine a heroine today being so disrespected as Sue Storm is repeatedly throughout these stories – and most often by her two romantic suitors!

Despite these awkward, and often hilarious moments, the stories are still totally entertaining. Sure, there are a few odd plot quirks, but they’re fun, and crazy adventurous. Lee and Kirby infuse the characters with playful personalities, a little pathos, a little banter, and plenty of personality (Ben and Reed in particular). By book four, multi-issue storylines have begun, creating a broader, more intricate tapestry. In book five, Joe Sinnott becomes Kirby’s inker, creating the Fantastic Four imagery that readers remember best. Book six takes all the groundwork laid in previous books and builds one of the most cohesive and multi-threaded plots in superhero comics history.

Most of the foundation of the Marvel Universe is established in these pages. And many readers will want to see that history. But to me, I just love seeing these exciting stories for myself. The burgeoning cosmology of the series, Lee and Kirby’s playful undercutting of their own narrative conventions, the beautiful artwork (my only complaint: the garish color on the covers makes them look hideous!), the snappy dialogue, the purely fun stories. The books are a delight, and highly recommended.
