Wheeee~! (Day 456)

10:45pm - I'm so happy! I made moneys! Mom was babysitting her friend's son's dog, and I helped, so I got some of them money. Then Mom's friend bought $80 worth of hats from me. And I sold a hat online. My first online sale! Thankfully, the buyer was very understanding when I told them that it would be shipping late because the post office is closed most of the weekend (closes early on Saturday and closed all of Sunday). They payed immediately, but I told them that I wouldn't accept the payment until I shipped the package. I felt like that would be the polite thing to do. PayPal, however, doesn't care, and keeps bugging me to accept the payment. How rude.

I feel like this was a very good online selling experience, and I hope that there are many more this way. I'm going to try my best to be a good online seller and ship things on time as best as I can. Not leave people hanging, always answer e-mails promptly and clearly. You know, the good stuff, haha. I'm sure I'm bound to slip up and piss off a couple of people eventually, but I'm going to try my hardest to avoid that.

Anyway, I actually had to make one of the hats that was bought today (by Mom's friend). So I did sew today! It was just a Link (Legend of Zelda) hat, so it only took about 45 minutes to an hour, but I did enjoy sewing again.

I think I've been subconsciously putting off working on Franziska just because I don't want to work with that fabric again. It's horrible to work with, but so pretty! Ugh. One day when I'm feeling extra patient, I'll do it. Before AOD for sure still.

I'm also in the process of setting up a few photoshoots with a few different photographers. Not for cosplay, but so that they can help me learn how to pose and use facial expressions better. I'm really self-conscious, especially about my facial expressions, but I'm gonna have to get over that, haha.

HATS! (Days 253 & 254)

I made two more hats =] Another Magikarp and a Mew.

ALSO~! I'm putting together a beach cosplay gathering on July 10th! Check out the Cosplay.com thread >>here<< for more info. I will be cosplaying Swimmer Girl from Pokemon Platinum, and my boyfriend will be cosplaying Biker Guy from Pokemon Platinum. We're actually almost done with our costumes too, even though we only seriously started two days ago. All I have to do is exchange my bathing suit bottom for a smaller one, buy a beach ball, and paint it. All my boyfriend (meaning me) has to do is find my old visor and paint it. Whee~! Easiest cosplays EVAH!

As for my Franziska von Karma cosplay and his Miles Edgeworth cosplay.. I suppose they're sort of on hold. I'm trying to finish all of these hats before I work on Franziska and Miles. I'm probably going to work right up to the day before Kin-Yoobi on the hats, but that'll still give me over two full months to finish Franziska and Miles, so I'm not too worried yet. =]

No More Drifloons! (Day 212)

I sold a Drifloon hat today and made one last Drifloon. I am so glad I don't have to make any more dangly heart things. Those were the hardest part. I also made one Mewtwo hat, which used up the last of my light purple fabric. Next I'm going to make Magikarp and Jigglypuff hats. In that order, of course.

Tomorrow, my pants will be FINISHED! Then I have to hem and paint my boyfriend's pants, which I fully intend to do in one week. Yup. Totally. *ded*

Oh! And I almost have a full Pac-Man group for Fanime! We have Pac-Man and three ghosts, and one guy who really wants to be a ghost, but doesn't know if he can go to Fanime yet. He says he'll know by Thursday. Here's hoping~!

Drifloon Army (Day 211)

So today, I worked on my Clyde pants more, I'M ALMOST DONE! I also made two more Drifloon hats. I intend to make one more, and then start making Mewtwo hats, since they're pretty much the same color. I'm cutting corners on color a lot here, on all of them really. Drifloon is darker than Mewtwo, but the fabric I got is slightly lighter than Drifloon and slightly darker than Mewtwo, so I'm using it for both, heh heh heh.

My friend is coming to buy her hat tomorrow, so I'll be able to start on more hats then. I honestly can't choose what hat to make next, though. I'm thinking Magikarp, though, because I'm really in love with my design for him. Also, because I already have yellow and white fabric, so I'll just need red/orange and pink. =]
