Having just begun the revival of the Winx Club, Nickelodeon now has some big plans for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We’re just starting to see some of the news surrounding the new TMNT CG series, as well as Paramount’s brand new TMNT movie, both set to hit in 2012. Now, Nick plans to team with IDW Publishing to launch a new Ninja Turtles comic book series this August. The original co-creator, Kevin Eastman, will head up the book’s creative team, with art by Dan Duncan. It’s not yet known how close the book and toon will coincide, but with Nickelodeon behind both entities, it seems to be a safe guess there will be similarities.
