The latest buzz around social networks is that of a Chinese video game which has caught our eyes here in our 3D animation studio at MediaFreaks. It’s entitled “Glorious Mission” and it is a first-person war video game which revolves around American troops as enemies.
This is a new alternative framing of a game in a video game industry predominantly occupied by American games. But what is more interesting here is that China’s Army developed this game. Moreover, the weapons you can use in this game are part of the actual arsenal of the Chinese Army — and the targets are US soldiers!
Well, if this is more than just a war movie simulator, is this a statement of an emerging world power (the sleeping giant to be exact)? China by the way has the world’s largest online population at 477 million users.
