Microsoft Office 365 is now out in stores and will this latest software update from Microsoft be the same old renovations we have seen from the office software. Our guess is that there will be lots of new stuff especially with the evolution of the world wide web and the social network. We see this as an attempt by Microsoft to go head-on with Google’s new Cloud capabilities
For starters, Office 365 will provide a hosted Exchange Online and Sharepoint Online capabilities bundled with the cloud version of the Lync Communications Platform. It adds support for Office web apps and licensing for the Office desktop suite. We know that’s a lot of terms but just know that your typical Microsoft Word and related apps have pushed the hyperdrive button for more versatility and features.
Each Exchange Online account can hold up to 25GB of storage. Attachments can be as large as 25 MB.
So as far as the mobile and Internet world is concerned, Microsoft did not stand pat as Google went on a spree to devour most of the cloud computing demographic.
