Metro 2033 ranks highly among the most engrossing shooters i’ve played in recent memory. This is not because of fantastic gameplay mechanics but because it capitalizes on the elements that made atmospheric shooters like Bioshock a hit. Taking place in the ruins of human civilization, beneath the streets of a irradiated Moscow, players ventured into the wilds to brave the horrors that awaited them in the wasteland. Thanks to strong fan support and positive word of mouth, sales for the game have warranted a sequel. Releasing in 2012, Metro Last Light seems to be carrying on the vibe of the original while at the same time improving on the look and feel. Could the game have been awarded a bigger budget or development team thanks to the success of the original? I don’t know but this trailer sure is intense and easily ranks among the most stylish trailers I’ve ever seen. Check it out:"
