Avenging Spider-Man: Marvel's Next Big Thing

Avenging Spider-Man: Marvel's Next Big Thing: " Marvel announced their 'Next Big Thing' during their live blog earlier today, and in case you missed it, we scored all the details for you! This November Marvel will be launching Avenging Spider-Man, an all new monthly series by writer Zeb Wells and art from Joe Madureira. The series will focus less on Spider-Man's personal life (that will continue to develop in Dan Slott's Amazing Spider-Man), and focus more on Peter's exciting adventures with many of his Avengers teammates.

In addition to five incredible preview pages to the first issue of Avenging Spider-Man courtesy of Joe Mad, writer Zeb Wells also discussed what readers can expect out of this all new monthly series, including the possibility of Spider-Man going to Asgard. Yes, you did read that correctly. "The action will not be limited to New York City. Zeb wants to see Spidey in Asgard. "I am not drawing New York City right now, I can say that." Not only will Peter be traveling quite a bit throughout the series, he'll also get to face off against a variety of different different villains since Zeb Wells will have the entire Avengers rogues gallery at his disposal.

'Having the whole Avengers rogues gallery at your disposal certainly opens up your options for villains,' Zeb said during the live conference, but what about heroes? According to the two creators, we might be seeing a lot more of Wolverine and Red Hulk later this fall. 'I think we touch on every Avenger in the first issue. Red Hulk is the main guest star, but they're all there,' Joe Madureira said. And since Zeb loves writing Wolverine and Joe Mad wants to draw him, that'll be a give in. Marvel also provided five preview pages of the first issue due to hit stores this November, which you can check out for yourselves below.

Yes, this is another event from Marvel; but will a traveling Spider-Man teaming up with The Avengers really make a difference to readers, or do you think this is something you've seen before? Will you be picking up this new series?
