Is that you, Bane? Supposedly this is a thermo of Bane in his mask. I feel like I'm looking at a picture of Big Foot.
Pausing the video. Rewinding because I over-shot. Pausing again. Copying the
entire URL. Checking back because I got
a digit or two out of order. All so you could go straight to the possibly real page
for all this.
So, that “the Fire Rises” which gave us the first pic of
Bane may be continuing on after all with a YouTube page. Three videos are up
there (and down below) which might be showing us glimpses of what’ll happen in
THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. With Anthony Michael Hall’s Jack Engel character back to
report on Gotham City News, it looks like Bane will blow up Arkham Asylum and
lead an outbreak of supervillains through the flames. Hence, a fire
rising. We also see a line of shrouded convicts
who might be the aforementioned super-psychos or perhaps detained members of
the League of Shadows. Tony’s telling me that the cult-like chant is the same
sample that gave everybody the Bane picture a while back. I like to believe it
might be a mantra the League enjoys shouting.
So is this legit? Or is IT a clever and seriously involved
hoax? I suppose it wouldn’t be viral if we knew for sure, yet. I want to
believe it’s real, though. I’ve been saying this whole time that I want to see
the escalation theme of these new Bat-movies reach a fever pitch with a third
movie where Gotham’s just overrun by super-villains. The ending of BATMAN
BEGINS teased that so bad, and it would certainly fit if this movie does, indeed, crib plot details from KNIGHTFALL.
