Word is strong around technology loving circles that the iPhone 5 is nearing its arrival. We scouted the web for some of the predicted upgrades you should expect when the iPhone 5 comes out.
The iPhone 4 has a glass backplate which is prone to scratches. The new model is expected to have a brushed metal backplate.
Other configurations might include removing the singular home button for a virtual one, thereby giving more space for a larger screen. The expected increase in screen size may become half an inch bigger.
Of course, the more vital statistics will get a bump up. Expect a faster processor, a better camera and more memory space.
Note however that these are all hypotheses of informed techie bloggers. There is no official word from Apple yet although. Every September, Apple has an iPod event so there may be announcements there.
