‘The Hunger Games’ Casts Its Cato & Clove: "


Lionsgate has spent the last three weeks slowly but meticulously releasing updates about the casting process for its highly-anticipated adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ mega-popular novel, The Hunger Games. Now the last two “tribute” roles in the film have been filled, leaving just a handful of (still important) adult supporting parts open for casting.

District 2 “tributes” Cato and Clove – who essentially serve as antagonists in The Hunger Games – are the last tribute roles to be filled in the film. The characters will be brought to life by Alexander Ludwig (Race to Witch Mountain) and Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), respectively.



Ludwig isn’t so much a physical match for Cato, who is described by Collins as a hulking brute with an nasty temper and (admittedly, kind of understandable) unrelenting drive to win The Hunger Games. Fuhrman, ...
